Taylor Odle is an assistant professor of Educational Policy Studies and an affiliate in Data Science at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. He is an expert on the economics of education, with a specific focus on college access and success.
Odle’s research focuses on identifying strategies that “work” to reduce racial and socioeconomic inequality in students’ transitions from high school to college — most commonly done in close partnership with state agencies and nonprofit organizations. This includes college admissions practices, college advising/coaching, and financial aid and student debt. He is particularly interested in how state and federal higher education policy can influence students’ access to and success in college.
